Get ready for it! Alpine, Nordic and Tube Park Opening Day here at Mount Washington Alpine Resort is this Friday, December 10th. We're stoked to offer the most opening day terrain in recent years. In each department, our team has been working hard in preparation and we can't wait to welcome you back. When visiting, please remember to respect instructions from our team members - we are all here to make this experience a safe and enjoyable one for all. Watch the weekly update video now to hear from our General Manager, Dean Prentice, on what to expect this season, as well as more good stuff to prepare you for the adventure.
See below for an outline of what to expect for the start of our 2021-2022 season:
ALPINE LIFTS, TERRAIN, SNOW CONDITIONS: For available lifts on Friday, from 9:00am - 3:30pm, both the Eagle and Hawk Chairs will be spinning as well as all the carpets. The current natural snow base at the Lower Hawk plot at 1105m elevation is 43cm. Available runs include Coaster, Linton's Loop, Milky Way, the Terrain Park (rail features), Sunset, Reverse Traverse, Jacks, Lower Westerly, and the entire Easy Acres zone. Early season conditions are in effect, please ski and ride with caution. Stay updated on our mobile app or website throughout the weekend as more terrain opens up. Big snow ahead!
SEASON PASSES, 6IXPAK’S & PRE-PURCHASED LIFT TICKETS: Single day lift tickets should be purchased online in advance, using a reloadable RFID card. If you don't already have one, buy your lift tickets on a new $5 card and easily obtain it using your confirmation email at our new mobile Scan & Go boxes next to the Ticket Windows. Discounted early season ticket pricing will be in effect. Season Pass and 6ixPak holders are not required to make a reservation to ski or ride. If you didn't select the mailing option, pick-up your 6ixPak’s at the new Ticket Windows in front of the Alpine Lodge. If your Season Pass was not reloaded or mailed, please come inside to the Season Pass Office to complete the process.
HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS: In an effort to manage the ongoing Covid-19 risk for the 2021-22 winter season, we are closely following all guidelines set forth by BC Provincial Health and encourage guests to look at our website for any updated protocols prior to visiting. These guidelines enforce wearing a face mask while indoors unless seated at a dining establishment, and to provide government issued Proof of Vaccination (PoV) to dine inside at Ted’s Bar & Grill and Eagle View Bistro. Lifts will operate at full capacity, and masks are not required outdoors per BC Provincial Health guidelines for safe outdoor recreation.
DINING: Ted's Bar & Grill and Eagle View Bistro are available for dine-in service with Proof of Vaccination. Grab and go service is also available at Eagle View Bistro, utilizing online ordering through the Mount Washington mobile app. The Alpine Cafeteria will open this weekend for self serve options, but please stay tuned for more specific information on what to expect around the resort for food and drink as well as general resort hours of operation.
LESSONS, RENTALS, TUNING: Guests are encouraged to pre-book all lessons, programs and equipment rentals, online or over the phone. Please plan ahead to avoid missing out! When arriving for your lesson, meet outside to check-in with your instructor if you are not picking up rentals inside at the Experience Centre. The Demo Centre will also be open, offering your gear tuning, boot fitting and demo gear testing needs. Reserve online or stop in.
NORDIC & RAVEN LODGE: Raven Retail and Raven Café will both operate from the same counter, offering grab and go self-serve dining options. Our team has been scoping out the trails and we hope to have a variety of both classic and skate Nordic trails open, as well as several snowshoe trails for exploration. Discounted opening weekend Trail Passes will be available in person at Raven Lodge. Stay updated on the Nordic Report on our website and mobile app come Friday morning for the list of open trails.
SHUTTLE BUSES: Regarding our shuttle buses, we have been affected by ongoing supply chain issues and at this time we will not have our usual fleet of buses running to start the season. We hope to have a bus schedule to share with you all very soon. We will provide more updates on the situation as available. Update Click here for the Bus Schedule
